Deb works to ensure that incoming Kevah participants and educators find the right group for their interests. She also coordinates the Jewish Milestones project,which provides an education and referral service for Bay area Jews seeking help on Jewish lifecycle rituals and events.
Deb served as Director of Education at Congregation Netivot Shalom (Berkeley, CA), and directed the Diller Teen Fellows, March of the Living and Shalhevet programs through the S.F. Bureau of Jewish Education. Before moving to the SF Bay Area, Deb lived in Israel where she directed Ramah's Jerusalem Day Camp, guided groups for NFTY (North American Federation of Temple Youth), recruited participants for Livnot U'Lehibanot, and volunteered with Sherut La'am. Deb was selected for (ti-ke-a): A Fellowship of Educators of Jewish Teens and the national Educator's Leadership Program of the Institute for Jewish Spirituality.
Deb lives in Berkeley with her husband and two children.
