Rahel Smith
Kevah Director of Finance and Operations

BA Environmental Studies, Judaic & Near Eastern Studies, Women’s Studies, Oberlin College

Rahel has spent 15 years overseeing finances, human resources, and operations for small businesses and non-profits. She has served as Board Member, Director, Manager, and Consultant for a number of non-profits, and has particular expertise in building robust organizational infrastructure, managing efficient bookkeeping workflows, and developing and implementing HR policy.  She holds a Strategic Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) certification, and is a member of Compasspoint's Financial Professionals Network.  She is an active member of Or Zarua, the East Bay Reconstructionist Havurah.  She grew up in the Bay Area, and currently lives with her spouse, Caroline Boyden, in Albany, CA.

Rahel is delighted that the Kevah office is the perfect distance for a lovely commute on her recumbent bicycle, Trixie.
